Mumbai : The Parx Super Car Show 2010, presented by XXX Energy Drink , in association with IIFL and Autocar India took off to a roaring start with the city thronging for a glimpse of the 50-odd auto beauties 9.30 am onwards. The first-of-its-kind event in India, the Parx Super Car Show was first launched in April 2009 to parade on the city roads the finest luxury and sports cars, which include top brands like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Ariel Atom, Bentley, Rolls Royce, BMW, Mercedes, amongst others.
According to Gautam Singhania, a keen car enthusiast and racing driver, “The Parx Super Car Show is aimed to bring together like-minded individuals who own and have a passion for luxury and sports cars. The event helps us display these auto marvels for all to view atleast once a year. And of course, at a time when India is just recovering from the effects of a grim economic situation, we hope this show has helped bring a smile on people’s faces. Given the crowd that thronged the rally route, I am confident that our objective has been achieved.
Encouraged and enthused by the active response for the first-ever super cars show in India in 2009, we organized the second edition of the Parx Super Car Show in a larger format this year. Ever since we organized the first show in April last year, we have been receiving innumerable requests from proud owners of super cars across India to organize similar shows in their respective cities. We, thus, propose to take the Parx Super Car Show to other cities in India, to establish connect amongst super car enthusiasts across the country.”

Parx Super Car Show was conceptualized and organized by Mr Gautam Singhania for the first time last year, to establish a forum for car enthusiasts to interact and display their sensational cars. He is also the Founder & Chairman of the SCI, which he founded in April 2009 together with Mr Hormazd Sorabjee, Managing Editor of Autocar India.
The three most deserving and desirable cars were awarded trophies by Gautam Singhania and the SCI club. This was the first time ever that these trophies were awarded.
After the rally,Satya Prakash Bagla, commenting on his participation and experience in the Super Car Show 2010, said, "It was an absolute delight to be a part of the Super Car Show 2010.The city police was very supportive and Mumbaikars showed great enthusiasm and they appreciated this initiative. The owners of Lamborgini and Bentley from various cities like Delhi, Pune etc participated in the rally. My message to all car owners is to obey rules and drive carefully."
