Bhopal: A seminar on 'Modernisation of engineering industry through CAD/CAM' was organised at the Maxim Institute of Technology Bhopal. Sandeep Maheshwari was the resource person. Students were made aware of the need of integration of CAD and CAM.
Mr. Maheshwari explained the basics of Auto CAD with 2D, 3D geometric dimensioning and basic measuring techniques that are related to the fundamentals of tool design and computer aided inspection.
Details of the various applications of designing and developing stamping dyes, moulds, automotive design, rapid prototyping, product design, CAD data conversion and tool design were also given.
Mechanical & Civil engineering students took a keen interest and participated in the seminar.
Maxim Institute of Technology, Director, Wing Cmdr U K Choudhary emphasised on exposure of the young engineers on such topics in order to build the next generation of engineers. Students were fascinated to see the designs on display.
Ashish Patidar, Vice Chairman was also present on the occasion. College is prepared to arrange a series of such popular lectures in the future to come.
